Volunteer – Foster Rescue Dogs in Arizona

Fostering Rescue Dogs

Anything’s Pawsible could not survive without foster volunteers.  When we have generous foster parents ready and willing to provide temporary housing and lots of love, we are able to rescue more dogs for our training-to-adoption process.

We are available to our fosters 24 hours a day, and will be there to help you through any challenges you may encounter.  This is a huge opportunity to help the APPP cause and we are grateful for your interest!

Pre-Program Foster

volunteer to foster rescue dogs in ArizonaPre-program foster homes are the bridge between the dog and the shelter from which it came.  Obviously, the first intention is to save the dog’s life.  We then need to determine whether he or she is suitable for our program.  The dogs must behave appropriately around children, get along with other dogs, be in sound health, and not display any behavioral issues that could interfere with our training program.

We need caring foster parents that can dedicate two – six weeks at a time, for either of our sessions around August or January.  You would treat the dog as your own, help to develop trust, and offer feedback regarding the dog’s behavior.

Weekend Foster

You can choose the weekends and the rescue dog you want to take home. You would treat him or her as your own dog, continue our positive reward training, give affection and opportunities for playtime, take for walks, and whatever else you can think of that could prepare this dog for placement in a loving forever home.

Pre-Adoption Foster

Fostering is an incredibly rewarding experience.  There is nothing like comparing the “before” pictures of your foster dog in the shelter with the “after” pictures in his or her new adoptive home!
